Camp Overview
Monday, July 28th - Basic Rules
Morning - Players will learn the basics of Dungeons & Dragon 2024 Edition, giving them a foundational set of skills that they will build on throughout the rest of the week.
Afternoon - Players will play a short, introductory campaign using premade characters that will allow them to put into practice all the things they learned earlier in the day.
Tuesday, July 29th - Character Creation and Abilities
Morning - Players will learn about the base races and classes found in D&D 2024, and spend the morning making level 2 characters and learning their abilities. They will also use this time to personalize their characters with backstories, character art, and voices.
Afternoon - Players will use their newly created characters in a campaign that will allow them to practice using their characters unique abilities while also putting their party’s teamwork to the test.
Wednesday, July 30th - Roleplaying and Improv
Morning - Now familiar with their characters, players will spend this morning bringing them to life. They’ll learn the basics of roleplaying with the Game Master and fellow players, and learn skills and strategies on how to inhabit characters in novel situations through improv.
Afternoon - This afternoon’s campaign will focus primarily on social interactions, mystery solving, and performance, as players will be putting their newfound roleplaying skills and tools to immerse themselves in shared storytelling.
Thursday, July 31st - Combat and Strategy
Morning - Players will be diving into combat, learning how their abilities and equipment can be used creatively to take down enemies and overcome obstacles. Parties will also focus on collaborative strategizing, learning about one another’s characters so they can support one another in battle and take down fearsome foes they could never face alone.
Afternoon - Players will play in a campaign with a heavy focus on combat, as they face progressively harder foes that will require them to think creatively and use teamwork to emerge victorious.
Friday, August 1st - All Day Campaign
On our final day of camp, players will play in a day-long campaign using all the skills and knowledge they’ve learned and practiced throughout the week. The day will end with a special celebration of their accomplishments, with their characters now level 5 and ready to venture into the world as true adventurers.
